Challenge

Create a useful site with information for women wanting to access support services. Don't make it look too depressing nor make light of the nature of the majority of situations that this vital service encounters. Minimise any browser cache trail where possible and provide information through the site as to how to hide a browsing session.

Solution

We worked closely with members of Newport Women's Aid to establish the key components and structure of the site. Particularly we lead the client to consider closely the potential users and their access routes ("use cases").

Content was largely taken from existing documents although client personnel compiled new material which was sub-edited by us; Bridge also created technical pages detailing how to prevent an abuser from tracking your online history.

A large number of bespoke graphics were used to enhance the soft feel of the site, accessibility tweaks ensure that the site is still usable for those not able to benefit from this imagery.

Challenge

Develop a lively website that is easy to navigate and provides a focus for community information. This website was developed to tie in with a full range of marketing materials produced by Communimedia limited

Solution

Community development project:The National Assembly's Communities First programme is investing £200 million and giving renewed confidence to the 100 most deprived communities in Wales. The Echo Stow Hill - Communities First group required a newsletter to inform local residents about the work of the organisation and promote their events.

Added value:We managed the development of the project working alongside volunteers in the community to develop a distinctive identity and logo for the organisation. We also produce their quarterly newsletter ECHO, a 12 page, A4 format publication extensively illustrated and part printed in full colour to give an air of «quality» and reinforce the sense of community identity.

To develop a logo and website for the Newport Youth Council, the Council members being coporately involved with the design.

Solution

In the first instance we worked with the youth of the NYC to develop a logo. From the logo we then went on to produce a lively and appealing website that could serve the NYC both as a means to pass information on to the youth across the City of Newport and to provide a tool for committee members.
